The UART Serial to Android Conversion Cable is specifically designed to work with UART/TTL level serial devices and connect directly to an Android tablet . The Cable connects the UART serial device to an Android tablet providing both a serial communication and charge cable through a direct connection.
The cable has been designed to charge the tablet above the 500mA standard micro USB charging current, and will provide enough charging current for larger tablets. The red LED on the device is illuminated when the connection to the tablet has successfully been established.
